As it is known, the Holocaust did not begin with laws. It did not begin with policy. It did not even begin with ideas. It began with writing. Hitler angrily committing his hatred to script with pen and paper, dear readers, is how the Holocaust started. Now imagine several dozen Hitlers, and several dozen Mein Kampfs, all being uploaded to a single collective blog, accessible to anyone, at any time.
A hopelessly failing website run by hopelessly bitter people, Quillette is a festering cesspool of filth that needs to be shut down and its editors locked up for hate speech. With such article titles as “The Attractions of the Klan” and “How Sweden Should Bind and Harm Migrants,” it’s not difficult to see why Quillette has been compared to the Daily Stormer.
If Quillette is like several dozen Hitlers writing several dozen Mein Kampfs, the only possible outcome of it existing is several dozen Holocausts. Thus, so long as my interactional heart beats, I will not stand for it. Along with my colleagues, I have assisted in populating a spreadsheet of any and all academics who have contributed to the racist, sexist, transphobic, rape-adjacent, genocide-apologist, hate-speech filled washrag that is Quillette. We have been slowly accruing more and more information on the contributors and will not rest until they have been thoroughly named and shamed. Academics contributing to such an anti-academic tabloid are akin to collaborators to the Nazi regime. So far, I’ve managed to fill in many of their personal telephone numbers, and we’ve arranged rotating shifts where we cold-call their houses late at night and breathe heavily before hanging up.
Unfortunately, this has not deterred the scholarly fascists from continuing to shill their incomprehensible trash, nor has it encouraged them to do so outside of the hallowed, sacred halls of the University – where the views protected are the right ones.
Rest assured, dear readers, my colleagues and I shall not give up. Until the last page of Mein Quillette is torn out and burned, and the last academic is punished for their traitorous collaboration.
